Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog. We only adopt to areas within 125 mi. of Holly Springs MS. Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are a limited intake adoption center and a non-profit organization. Our animals have been spayed/neutered & are up to date on shots. Our standard Dog adoption fee is $150 which includes a microchip. We sometimes make exceptions to standard fee for those with extra medical care. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00. Harley is a beatiful Boxer mixed with Greyhound.  She is 6 mos. old and very sweet, but still gets nervous around a lot of new people.  She is great with the people she knows, but gets very nervous around strangers.  She prefers to be outside; seems to have a fear of being in the house. She does spend nights inside now but is nervous about it.  We think she may have had some abuse at some point.  She needs to be in a home where the person is good with animals and can work with her, to get her over some of her fears. She will be best in a home with no  small children, and definitely needs a fenced yard.   With some work, she will be a great dog; is very smart!
