Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog. We only adopt to areas within 125 mi. of Holly Springs MS. Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are a limited intake adoption center and a non-profit organization. Our animals have been spayed/neutered & are up to date on shots. Our standard Dog adoption fee is $150 which includes a microchip. We sometimes make exceptions to standard fee for those with extra medical care. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00. Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Requires a yard

Sponsors: Elsa is a cute little Yorkie mix about one year old. She came to us a little undernourished but she’s gaining weight now. She sometimes has a slight limp on her right front leg which our veterinarian evaluates as an old fracture. We think she experienced some sort of trauma earlier in her life so she will need an owner who is experienced in dog care and can keep a close eye on her medical condition. . She will likely need extra vet care. She is still pretty lively though so will need a fenced yard. We will want to receive records from your veterinarian for your current or recent pets before considering your application. They can be sent by email or call and give permission to your veterinarian to release your existing and/or prior pet’s medical information to us. We will want to confirm your pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots, and current on heartworm & flea prevention. Also we do a home visit before finalizing an adoption and will want to check your fence to make sure it is secure with no holes or gaps. And please be aware that we only adopt within 100 mi. of Holly Springs MS.
