Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Large
I have a kinda good luck story. I just followed my mama around the streets of Holly Springs MS for what I think was weeks and weeks. We just begged people for handouts or looked for any tossed out food wherever we could find it. When MCHS picked us up from the streets, we were pretty hungry and thin. They said our blood was very thin too. They gave us nutritious food and we slowly started to feel so much better. I was really liking getting all that attention so I guess I’m a bit of a diva now. I really love being petted and getting sweet talk. People get mad at me though when I talk too much, if I’m not getting enough attention. I’ve been in a couple of foster homes. If I had a real family though, I think I would be so happy that I would try hard to please and be my best self. I have kept growing tho so I’m getting pretty big. My friends at the shelter said I’m mostly Great Pyrenees and I know they get pretty big. I’m really happy that I didn’t get heartworms like my mama did. She has to take some strong medicine to get well, that makes you feel bad for a while. I do have some problems with my leg joints; they aren’t really that strong because I didn’t get much nutrition when I was a little pup. So, the nice people at the shelter said we have to tell people that I’m special needs and will probably need extra vet care. One vet said I might have hip dysplasia later, whatever that is. I just hope someone will love me cause I’m so sweet , even if I cost them more money. If you wouldn’t mind a special needs girl, please contact the shelter by calling 662-564-2900 or go to our website Marshallcountyhumanesociety.org and go to ‘Adoption Info’ and click on application.
Since Abby has special needs. We are requiring that anyone interested in adopting her, have their veterinarian send us medical records on any current animals they have, plus their reference. . Also please send us photos of your fenced back yard, which will be required. We will need 1 reference beside your vet that aren’t family and we will do a Zoom interview with those families who are qualified. Her estimated date of birth is May 1, 2020. All our animals have been spayed or neutered and up to date on all preventives and shots and we are microchipped. Dog adoption fee is $125.
