Marshall County Humane Society requires an appointment to show an animal since we are all volunteer. We also require a home visit before finalizing adoption to check the security of your fence if you are adopting a dog. We only adopt to areas within 125 mi. of Holly Springs MS. Our dogs are given much care and attention and we want to make sure they are in a safe and secure environment. We are a limited intake adoption center and a non-profit organization. Our animals have been spayed/neutered & are up to date on shots. Our standard Dog adoption fee is $150 which includes a microchip. We sometimes make exceptions to standard fee for those with extra medical care. Our Cat adoption fee is $95.00.  Lamar came to us fleabitten,and filfthy with a hole in his ear, is nearly blind and has limited hearing ability.  He is very sweet and cute and does amazingly well with his handicaps. A member has him at her house now and she says he goes up and down stairs outside her house with no problem. He seems to know light and motion and will walk to you, but we know it's limited vision.  He is going to require daily medication, needs eye drops several times per day, plus other medications and obviously needs lots of care.  He needs a special person who will give him that care and be able to handle extra health care costs.   

All our dogs have been spayed or neutered, and up to date on vaccinations, heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative.  they receive lots of loving care and we give them as much socialization as we can.
